Split lock washers, also known as spring lock washers, have a spring action that creates resistance against vibration. They have an opening where one side gradually rises above the other that compresses while simultaneously pushing against the mating surfaces. They are often used with softer materials and do not provide as much resistance to loosening in harder materials. Type B Spring Lock Washers are available in a range of materials including Duplex Stainless Steel, 1.4529 HCR (Grade A8) Steel and Duplex Stainless Steel.
